Shrimp skewers with plums and jalapeños
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons
- Grated Lemon Zest - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Lime Juice - 3 tablespoons
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 12 pieces
- Habanero Pepper - 3 pieces
- Plums - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, and salt. Pour 3 tablespoons of the marinade into a small bowl.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the peppers and cut each one lengthwise into 4 pieces. Cut each plum into 6 pieces, removing the pits.
Step 3
In the remaining marinade, add the peeled raw shrimp, plums, and pieces of peppers. Mix well.
Step 4
Preheat the grill or barbecue.
Step 5
Thread the shrimp, pieces of plums, and peppers onto skewers alternately and place them on the grill. Grill for about 8 minutes, turning until cooked through.
Step 6
Drizzle with the remaining marinade and serve.
