Description
Skewers of chicken, shrimp, and vegetables
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 10.6 oz
- Shrimp - 10.6 oz
- Shimeji mushrooms - 5.3 oz
- Marinated cherries - 5.3 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the ginger and grate it on a coarse grater. Cut the chicken into small pieces, and if necessary, peel the shrimp and remove the dark vein. Rub the chicken and shrimp with salt, mix with the ginger (this should be done in separate bowls), and let the chicken and shrimp marinate in this mixture for about an hour.
Step 2
Prepare the cookware: it's preferable to use a grill pan. A regular pan will also work, but it should be large enough to fit the skewers with the meat completely.
Step 3
Skewer the marinated chicken and shrimp onto bamboo skewers, leaving a small gap between each piece. For the vegetable skewers, alternate between cherry tomatoes and shiitake mushrooms.
Step 4
Preheat the skillet thoroughly and sear the skewers over high heat, turning them occasionally. At the end, drizzle each skewer with soy sauce. However, be careful not to overdo it – it all depends on the amount of salt added to the marinade.
