Description

Halibut can be smoked at home or you can use pre-smoked fish.

Ingredients

  • Fresh basil leaves - 2 bunches
  • Halibut - 2 lbs
  • Mustard Greens - 2 tablespoons
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 4 tablespoons
  • Sour Cream - 14.1 oz
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Blend finely chopped basil, reserving a couple of sprigs for garnish, with lemon juice, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a blender. Add sour cream and mix well.

Step 2

Fillet the smoked halibut, removing bones and skin, and slice the flesh into thin pieces.

Step 3

Pour the prepared sauce onto a plate, arrange the fish slices beautifully on top, and garnish with basil sprigs.
