Description
Spanish Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients
- Garlic - 14 cloves
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 17.6 oz
- Olive Oil - 8 tablespoons
- Salt - ½ tablespoon
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Champagne Vinegar - 1½ tablespoons
- Dried Chili Pepper - 1 piece
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop 2 cloves of garlic and mix with the peeled shrimp, 2 tablespoons of oil, and salt. Let the shrimp marinate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Crush 4 cloves of garlic, heat in a pan with 6 tablespoons of oil over medium heat for 4–7 minutes. Remove the pan from heat and let the oil cool to room temperature. Discard the garlic from the pan.
Step 3
Thinly slice the remaining 8 cloves. Return the pan to low heat, add the garlic, chili, and bay leaf to the oil. Cook until the garlic becomes soft, without letting it brown (4–7 minutes).
Step 4
Increase the heat to medium and add the shrimp with the marinade. Cook for 2 minutes on one side, then flip and sauté on the other side for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Increase the heat to maximum, add the vinegar and parsley, and sauté, stirring constantly, for 15–20 seconds.
