Ingredients
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Orange zest - 1 piece
- Mandarins - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 4 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thinly peel the zest from the orange and lemon, and place it in a glass bowl or saucepan.
Step 2
Squeeze the juice from the lemon, orange, and two mandarins — you should get about 300 ml of juice. Add the juice to the bowl with the zest, sprinkle in 3 tablespoons of sugar, and pour in 700 ml (or 3 cups) of hot boiled water. Stir. Cover and let it sit overnight.
Step 3
In the morning, take a 1.5-liter plastic bottle, and using a funnel, pour the infusion into the bottle, pushing the zest through the neck — it will soften overnight and impart its aroma to the infusion.
Step 4
Top up with sparkling water (the ratio of infusion to soda is 2:1). You can add sugar to taste. Close the bottle and place it in the refrigerator!
