- Olive Oil - ½ tablespoon
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Turnips - 1½ kg
- Water - ¾ cup
- Cayenne Pepper - 0.1 teaspoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Raisins - ¼ cup

Peel the carrots and slice them diagonally.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin and sauté, stirring, for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the carrots to the skillet, season with salt, and sprinkle with cayenne pepper. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Then add the water and honey and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes until the carrots are slightly tender.
Step 4
Remove the lid, increase the heat, add the raisins, and cook for another 8–12 minutes until the carrots are soft and caramelized.
