Description
Strawberry jam in a slow cooker
Ingredients
- Strawberry - 2 lbs
- Sugar - 24.7 oz
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Small strawberries are the best choice for this recipe.
Step 2
Wash the strawberries thoroughly. To ensure you remove all the sand, you can soak them in cold water for 10 minutes. Gently stir with your hands to help the sand separate from the berries.
Step 3
Dry the strawberries in a colander.
Step 4
Cut off the green stems from the strawberries.
Step 5
Place the strawberries in the bowl of the multicooker and sprinkle with sugar. Gently stir, tilting the bowl slightly to avoid damaging the berries.
Step 6
Place a cinnamon stick in the bowl.
Step 7
First, you need to dissolve the sugar. To do this, close the lid and set the 'Keep Warm' mode for 40 minutes.
Step 8
Switch to the "Stewing" mode and cook the jam for about 25 minutes with the lid off. Stir the jam occasionally and skim off any foam.
Step 9
Next, add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the jam. Bring to a boil.
Step 10
You can either can the finished jam while it's still hot or let it cool down and enjoy it right away.
