Description
This pasta has no relation to Italian cuisine — it can also be used as a spread, which is great as an appetizer to accompany vodka. Garlic pasta can serve as a base for further experiments: for instance, you can add cilantro to make this simple appetizer more flavorful.
Ingredients
- Garlic - 15 cloves
- Nut crumb - 7.1 oz
- Shelled pumpkin seeds - 1.8 oz
- Olive Oil - 3 spoons
- Marinated cherries - 16 pieces
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the walnuts with a knife. Peel the garlic cloves, crush them with the knife, and then grind them with salt in a mortar. Add the chopped walnuts and continue to grind. If you find it too tedious to grind, you can use a blender.
Step 2
Take any bread you have on hand — white, black, or a mix of both, even stale bread will work. Tear the bread into pieces and soak it in a bowl of water for a couple of minutes. Squeeze out the excess water using your hands.
Step 3
Combine the moist bread crumbs with the garlic-nut mixture, add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and mix well.
Step 4
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, carefully scoop out the insides with a small sharp spoon or knife, and fill the halves with garlic paste.
