This is a great stuffing for holiday chicken, duck, and turkey.
Ingredients
- Beans - 1 piece
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 4.1 oz
- Apple juice with pulp - ½ ml
- Onion - 1 head
- Green Figs - 7.1 oz
- Candied fruits - 4.6 oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Chicken Broth - 0.6 cups
- Ocean salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F.
Step 2
Cut the bread into small cubes to make 6-7 cups. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 3
In a saucepan, combine the cranberries and half of the apple juice. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes until the berries start to burst. Cook for another minute, then drain, removing the apple juice.
Step 4
Add the cranberries to the bread along with the finely chopped onion, finely chopped figs, walnuts, and sage.
Step 5
In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the remaining apple juice, softened butter, and broth. Gently pour into the bread mixture and stir, being careful not to puree.
