Description
After rinsing the rice, transfer it to a sieve and let it stand for 1 hour. It is best to mix the rice with the mixture in a damp wooden bowl using a wooden spatula.

- Rice - 7.1 oz
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 7 teaspoons
- Sugar - ½ spoons
- Ocean salt - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thoroughly rinse the sushi rice in cold water until the water runs clear.
Step 2
Place the rice in a pot and cover it with water. Cover the pot with a lid and bring it to a boil over medium heat, about 5 minutes. Then, reduce the heat to low and cook the rice for an additional 10–13 minutes, until it has absorbed all the water.
Step 3
Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for another 10 minutes without opening the lid.
Step 4
For the vinegar mixture, combine rice vinegar or white wine vinegar with sugar and salt until fully dissolved.
Step 5
Drizzle the mixture over the rice, then gently fold the rice into the mixture without stirring.
Step 6
Before preparing the sushi, let the rice cool.
