Sweet Onion Pudding with Parmesan

Ingredients

  • Butter - 4.2 oz
  • Spanish onions - 6 pieces
  • Whipped Cream - 2 cups
  • Wheat Flour - 3 tablespoons
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 3 oz
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Thyme - to taste
  • Chocolate eggs - 4 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and sauté until soft and caramelized, about 30-40 minutes. Remove from heat.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 3

In a large bowl, mix the eggs, cream, and Parmesan. In another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and mix well. Fold in the caramelized onions gently.

Step 4

Pour the batter into a greased rectangular baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes until cooked through. Garnish with sprigs of thyme.
