Ingredients
- Sweet Pepper - 4 pieces
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Sugar - 24.7 oz
- Chili Flakes - to taste
- Champagne Vinegar - 5 fl oz
- Ciabatta - to taste
- Semi-soft cream cheese - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Remove the seeds and white ribs from the peppers. Cut them into large pieces.
Step 3
Transfer the pepper to the blender bowl.
Step 4
Add chili flakes and crush them.
Step 5
Transfer the pepper puree to a saucepan.
Step 6
Add sugar and vinegar, and place on high heat.
Step 7
Once the jam starts to boil, simmer for 40 minutes. At the end, add butter.
Step 8
Sterilize the jars over steam for 15 minutes.
Step 9
Transfer the finished jam into jars and seal them. Alternatively, you can transfer it to a container and freeze it.
Step 10
Serve the sweet pepper jam on toasted bread with fresh cheese. This jam also makes a wonderful accompaniment to pâtés, cheese platters, and charcuterie boards.
