Sweet Swiss Chard with Raisins and Almonds
Ingredients
- Onion - ½ head
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Smoked salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Swiss chard leaves - 31.7 oz
- Water - ½ cup
- Chopped almonds - 1.4 oz
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 3.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion and 0.25 teaspoon of salt until soft, stirring. Add the paprika and cook for another minute.
Step 2
Add the finely chopped Swiss chard, stir for a while, then add the raisins and water. Cover with a lid and cook, stirring, for about 7 minutes until the Swiss chard is tender. Season with salt to taste.
Step 3
Heat a pan with the remaining oil and toast the nuts over medium heat, stirring, for about 3-5 minutes until golden. Sprinkle the nuts over the Swiss chard and serve.
