Description

The trick is to wrap apple slices in bacon and fry them in that form; they meld together beautifully: on top, a crispy, glistening bacon crust, and underneath, an apple slice transformed into a semi-puree, infused with the aroma of smokiness. If you find yourself with good smoked sausage in the fridge instead of bacon (which is likely for a festive occasion), don’t hesitate to slice it as thinly as possible and wrap the apples in it. You can also bake not only apples inside the smoked meat but also slices of firm pears or prunes.

  • Green Apples - 1 piece
  • Sour Cream - 3.5 oz
  • Creamy Horseradish - 2 spoons
