Description
Recipe from the book 'Burgers' by David Smith and John Wilson.
Ingredients
- Sesame bun - 6 pieces
- Lean Beef - 28.2 oz
- Shimeji mushrooms - 10.6 oz
- Cheddar cheese for sandwiches - 4.2 oz
- Eel - 4.2 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 tablespoon
- Wasabi - 2 spoons
- Soy Sauce - 5 fl oz
- Oyster Mushrooms - 2 spoons
- Mayonnaise - 3 spoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 5 teaspoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and chop the salad.
Step 2
Clean and slice the mushrooms. Pour half of the butter into a skillet and sauté the mushrooms over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add honey, salt, and pepper. Stir and let it simmer for a bit. Keep warm.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the ground meat with ginger, oyster sauce, pepper, and a pinch of salt. Shape into 6 patties to match the size of the buns.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to the 'grill' setting.
Step 5
Fry the patties in the remaining oil in a skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain the oil and add soy sauce. Cook on low heat for another 4 minutes on each side, basting the patties with soy sauce. Keep warm.
Step 6
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise and wasabi.
Step 7
Slice the buns in half and lightly toast them in the oven.
Step 8
Spread mayonnaise with wasabi on the inside of the warm rolls. Place salad, patties, a slice of cheese, and hot mushrooms on the bottom halves, then cover with the top halves and serve immediately.
