Toast with Chicken Liver
Ingredients
- Toasts - 12 pieces
- Chicken Liver - 8.8 oz
- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Hard Cheese - 1.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the chicken liver and cut it into small pieces. Also, chop the smoked bacon. Sauté the liver and bacon in butter with chopped onion. Add 4 tablespoons of water and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 2
Blend the liver with the onion in a blender until smooth, adding salt and pepper.
Step 3
Spread a thick layer of liver puree on the toast and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 4
Bake in the oven at 356°F for 7 to 8 minutes.
