Ingredients
- Spanish onions - 1 piece
- Brown Sugar - 4 teaspoons
- Mustard Greens - 1 teaspoon
- Star anise - 1 piece
- Red Wine Vinegar - 4 tablespoons
- Fig - 4 pieces
- French Baguette - 12 pieces
- Manchego cheese - 3.5 oz
- Arugula - 0.5 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.3 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine the onion, sugar, spices, ginger, and vinegar in a deep skillet and simmer over low heat until the onion is soft.
Step 2
Add the figs and simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes until soft.
Step 3
Serving: Sprinkle the toasts with Manchego cheese, top with some prepared ragout and arugula.
