Tofu with Spicy Chicken Sauce
Ingredients
- Tofu - 8.8 oz
- Ginger - 1.1 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ground meat - 4.2 oz
- Celery stalk - 1.8 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 3.2 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Soy Sauce - 0 fl oz
- Oyster Mushrooms - 1 fl oz
- Sugar - 0.5 oz
- Water - 1 fl oz
- Tobanjan sauce - 1.1 oz
- Sesame Oil - 0 fl oz
- Cilantro - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Cut the tofu into slices about 1 cm thick.
Step 3
Finely chop the ginger and garlic until they form a paste.
Step 4
Dice the celery and bell pepper into small cubes.
Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the ginger and garlic for a few seconds.
Step 6
Add the ground chicken and cook until done, about 5 minutes.
Step 7
Add the celery and bell pepper, and sauté for another minute.
Step 8
Add the light and dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 9
Add the tobanjan, stir, and remove from heat.
Step 10
Place the tofu on a plate, pour the sauce over it, and steam for 15 minutes.
Step 11
Before serving, drizzle the tofu with sesame oil and garnish with cilantro.
