Tomato Cocktail with Crab and Shrimp

Ingredients

  • Spiced Tomato Juice - 12 fl oz
  • Ketchup - 2 fl oz
  • Lime Juice - 0 fl oz
  • TABASCO® - 0 fl oz
  • Onion - 4.2 oz
  • Cilantro - 0.7 oz
  • Avocado - 1 piece
  • Crab Meat - 8.8 oz
  • Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 4.4 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Finely chop the onion, roughly chop the cilantro, peel and dice the avocado. Squeeze the juice from the limes.

Step 2

Remove the chitinous shells from the crab meat and break it into small pieces.

Step 3

Add the shrimp (preferably very small ones) to lightly salted boiling water and cook for one and a half minutes. Drain all the water from the shrimp, dry them, and let them cool.

Step 4

In a large bowl, mix the tomato juice, ketchup, crab juice, lime juice, TABASCO, and salt. Add the onion and cilantro and mix thoroughly.

Step 5

Fold the diced avocado into the tomato-onion mixture, stir, and while continuing to gently mix, gradually add the crab meat and shrimp.

Step 6

Spoon the cocktail into clear glasses. Serve with salted crackers.
