Ingredients
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Baking Tomatoes - 3 cans
- Onion - 1 head
- Basil - 1 bunch
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- 10% cream - 7.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Olive Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the tomatoes from the can and pour the juice they were preserved in directly into a pot.
Step 2
Chop the carrot and onion into small pieces, thin slices, about 1-2 cm wide and long, like spaghetti.
Step 3
Sauté the carrot and onion in olive oil until golden brown.
Step 4
Put the tomato juice on low heat.
Step 5
Blend the tomatoes into a puree in a blender until there are no chunks.
Step 6
When the tomato juice comes to a boil, add the puree from the blender, carrot, and onion. Cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 7
Add the cream, stir, and bring to a boil. Before serving, garnish with basil. You can add a salty cracker.
