Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 12.3 oz
- Turnips - 2 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Onion - 1 head
- Fresh basil leaves - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cream - 7 fl oz
- Water - ½ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot over medium heat, sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic.
Step 2
Add the diced carrots and tomato paste. Stir on low heat for 7 minutes, then add the diced tomatoes, basil, pepper, salt, and pour in the water.
Step 3
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. As it cooks, mash the tomatoes.
Step 4
Add the cream. Bring to a boil again and simmer for another 5–7 minutes on low heat.
Step 5
Add more spices if necessary.
