Ingredients
- Spiced Tomato Juice - 3 fl oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice - 7.1 oz
- Potato - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
- Ginger - 0.2 oz
- Spanish onions - 1.1 oz
- Garlic - 1 piece
- Honey - 2 teaspoons
- Fresh basil leaves - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Mild Chili Spice - 0.4 oz
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the tomatoes from the can and peel them, adding their own juice as well. Blend the mixture, but not to a uniform consistency; leave some small pieces.
Step 2
In a saucepan, sauté the diced onion in olive oil until golden brown, then add the minced garlic and almost immediately add the chopped tomatoes in juice. Bring the soup to a boil and reduce the heat so that it does not boil.
Step 3
After that, add everything else: finely chopped chili pepper, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste, dried basil, seedless tomato cubes, and finally, thin strips of ginger root and honey. Stir the soup and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the spices to infuse, then pour into a bowl and serve.
