You can also use chicken broth. The soup turns out lighter this way. Herbs: parsley, rosemary, marjoram, basil, thyme, sage.

- Rice - 1 cup
- Chicken Broth - 3 qt
- Herbs - to taste
- Baking Tomatoes - 2 qt

First, prepare the meat broth. It’s best to make it salty right away.

Start cooking the rice.

In a separate pot, bring to a simmer the tomatoes (it’s better to use puree rather than chunks), garlic (you can crush it or leave the cloves whole), onion (whole), and herbs. You can use the herbs in two forms — fresh in a bunch (in this case, tie all the herbs together with string) or dried (in this case, about 2 pinches of each type).
Step 4
After 30 minutes, remove all whole ingredients, pour the broth into the pot, add the rice (without water), and cook for another 10 minutes (or until the rice is ready).
