Trio of White Beans, Beets, and Black Rice with Sage
Ingredients
- Beetroot - 8.8 oz
- Canned Baby Beets - 14.1 oz
- Venere Rice - 7.1 oz
- Olive Oil - 6 tablespoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 10 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the rice in salted water.
Step 2
In one skillet, place half of the beans, 2 cups of water, sage, a clove of garlic, and the onion, and season with salt.
Step 3
In another skillet, place the remaining beans, 2 cups of water, beetroot, a clove of garlic, and season with salt.
Step 4
Sauté the contents of both skillets, then blend them into two pastes.
Step 5
Serve the rice in a mound surrounded by both pastes on the plates.
