Ingredients
- Milk - 2 fl oz
- Egg white - 2 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Green peppercorns - to taste
- Butter - 2.6 oz
- Gruyère cheese - 4 slices
- Ham - 4 slices
- Sourdough Bread - 6 slices
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
- Chicken fillet - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Lightly beat the milk and eggs in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
Step 2
For each sandwich, lightly butter 3 slices of bread on both sides. On one slice of bread, place 2 pieces of turkey and 2 pieces of ham, cover with a second slice of bread, and add 2 slices of cheese on top. Cover the cheese with a third slice of bread and press all the slices together gently with your palm. Carefully trim the crusts and cut the sandwich in half diagonally.
Step 3
Heat the butter in a skillet. Dip each sandwich in the egg and milk mixture and fry on both sides until golden brown. Serve on plates, dusted with powdered sugar for decoration.
