- Melted Cheese - 8.8 oz
- Veal - 21.2 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 4 pieces
- Thyme - 5 sprigs
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Balsamic Vinegar - 4 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the bell peppers into thin strips and slice the mozzarella into thin rounds.
Step 2
Slice the veal across the grain into small pieces no thicker than 1 cm. Wrap each piece of meat in plastic wrap and gently pound it thin. Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place a slice of mozzarella and a bit of pepper in the center, roll it up, and tie with string or secure with a toothpick. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Step 3
Sear the prepared rolls on both sides in a well-heated skillet with olive oil until golden brown.
Step 4
In a deep, ovenproof dish, pour in 150 ml of water, add balsamic vinegar, butter, and thyme sprigs. Place the seared rolls in the dish and bake in a preheated oven at 374°F for 20 minutes.
