- Beans - 1½ cups
- Root Vegetables - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomato Puree - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bay leaf - to taste
- Parsley - to taste
- Dill - to taste
- Sour Cream - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the beans in advance (it's best to let them sit overnight in water) and then bring them to a boil.
Step 2
Chop the root vegetables and onion, then sauté them in oil with the tomato puree.
Step 3
After 20-30 minutes of boiling the beans, add the sautéed root vegetables, pepper, bay leaf, and salt, then continue cooking until the beans are tender.
Step 4
When serving, sprinkle the soup with parsley or dill and add sour cream to the bowls.
