Description
This is a basic recipe. You can replace soy sauce with regular salt, and adding garlic, fresh herbs, and pieces of fresh red pepper will definitely give the dish a piquant flavor and a richer taste. The recipe is based on the preparation of Israeli paste - Hummus. However, lentils have proven to be surprisingly effective, and this delicate pâté, rich in natural plant protein, will now delight you as well.
Ingredients
- Lentils - 5.3 oz
- Olive Oil - 3 spoons
- Soy Sauce - 3 spoons
- Toasted Sesame - 1 tablespoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pre-cook the lentils until tender. Drain the water.
Step 2
Then place the lentils, oil, sauce, sesame seeds, pepper, and lemon juice in a blender. Blend thoroughly until a smooth paste forms. Transfer the paste to a dish container or a deep bowl. Refrigerate to let it marinate.
Step 3
Serve with pita, slices of fresh vegetables, and herbs. A great light summer snack.
