Ingredients
- Bread Kvass - 1 qt
- Salad Potatoes - 2 pieces
- Turnips - 5 pieces
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Scallions - 2.1 oz
- Cucumbers - 2 pieces
- Sour Cream - 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Mustard Greens - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil and cool the carrot, then cut it into small cubes along with the fresh cucumbers. Grate the boiled potatoes. Slice the radishes thinly. Finely chop the green onions and mash them with a spoon, adding a little salt to soften and release their juice. Peel the hard-boiled eggs, separate the whites from the yolks, chop the whites into small pieces, and mash the yolks with mustard.
Step 2
Combine the mashed green onions with the potatoes, yolks, sour cream, sugar, and salt, mixing everything together. Dilute with kvass, then add the chopped radishes and carrot.
Step 3
When serving, add chopped dill to the okroshka.
