Description
For this dish, you should choose a soft yet firm cheese, preferably purchased at a local market. It's best to prepare a large amount of fresh bread in advance so that none of the tomato sauce goes to waste once the cheese has been eaten.
Ingredients
- Homemade Cheese - 3.5 oz
- Garlic - 3.5 oz
- Tomatoes - 1 piece
- Basil - 1 bunch
- Olives stuffed with lemon - 0.7 oz
- Capers - 5.3 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sauté the garlic in a small amount of olive oil in a skillet.
Step 2
Add the diced tomato, olives, and capers (it’s best to chop the capers with a knife beforehand) to the same skillet.
Step 3
Tear the basil leaves by hand, add them to the mixture, and heat it for just a couple of minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Submerge a piece of cheese in the sauce and hold it over the heat for about a minute to warm it slightly.
Step 5
Place the finished cheese on a plate, drizzle with sauce, and serve.
