Description
"Shiru" means soup. The term "yosenabe" can be roughly translated as "a pot with everything." In other words, this is a Japanese hodgepodge—whatever is available at home goes into this soup. Moreover, the ingredients can be added in any amounts, according to taste and availability.

- Smoked haddock fillet - 3 pieces
- Tuna - 3 pieces
- Scallops - 2 pieces
- Shrimp - 3 pieces
- Squid - 2 pieces
- Scallions - to taste
- Chinese green beans - 6 stalks
- Tofu - 2 pieces
- Shimeji mushrooms - 2 pieces
- Kombu Seaweed - 0.4 oz
- Dashi powder - 0 fl oz
- Soy Sauce - 0 fl oz
- Mirin - 0 fl oz
- Sake - 0 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot, combine 150 ml of water with kombu, dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and sake. Add salt to taste. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for five minutes.
Step 2
Add everything else and cook for another five minutes.
