Oven-baked zucchini
Ingredients
- Young zucchini - 3 pieces
- Breadcrumbs - 1.8 oz
- Parmesan Cheese - 1.8 oz
- Italian herb blend - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Dried Garlic - 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour - 2.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - ¾ spoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil.
Step 3
Wash the zucchini, trim the ends, and cut into sticks.
Step 4
Grate the Parmesan cheese using a fine grater.
Step 5
In a large bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, Italian herbs, 0.5 teaspoon of garlic, 0.25 teaspoon of salt, and pepper.
Step 6
In another bowl, add the flour and mix in 0.5 teaspoons of ground garlic and salt.
Step 7
In a third bowl, whisk 1 egg until lightly frothy.
Step 8
In small batches, coat the zucchini first in flour, then dip it in eggs, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.
Step 9
Place the zucchini on a baking sheet and lightly drizzle with oil.
Step 10
Place the zucchini in the oven for 15–20 minutes. Flip the zucchini halfway through the baking.
Step 11
Serve with your favorite sauce.
