Achma Georgian Style
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 2 lbs
- Chocolate eggs - 5 pieces
- Salt - 0.4 oz
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
- Suluguni Cheese - 3 lbs
- Imeretian cheese - 17.6 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Knead the dough, divide it into 5 uneven parts (two parts should be approximately 250 g, the others 200 g each) and roll out thin sheets.
Step 2
Carefully, one sheet at a time, dip it first in boiling water for 30 seconds, then in cold water and wait until it cools.
Step 3
Grease a non-stick baking tray with butter and place the first layer of dough, then the filling, and continue this way until the end.
Step 4
To prepare the filling, grate the suluguni, imeretian cheese, and butter on a coarse grater, and mix everything together.
Step 5
Cover the last layer with beaten egg.
Step 6
Before sending the dish to the oven, carefully cut it into desired pieces.
Step 7
Bake at 428°F for 20 minutes until cooked.
Step 8
Remove the tray and cover with foil. This way, the achma becomes softer.
Step 9
Serve with matsoni.
