Description

I use a baking tray measuring 20x25 cm and 4 cm deep. You can use a smaller and deeper pan (the pastries will be taller), or a larger one (they will be flatter), and cut them into any number of pieces.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 8.8 oz
  • Sugar - 7.1 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 3.5 oz
  • Ground Almonds - 3.5 oz
  • Chocolate - 3.5 oz
  • Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
  • Vanilla salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped almonds - 10 pieces
  • Egg white - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Beat the softened butter with sugar and vanilla sugar. Gradually add the 3 eggs.

Step 2

Mix the flour, baking soda, ground almonds, and cinnamon. Combine with the butter-egg mixture.

Step 3

Whip the egg white until stiff peaks form and fold it into the batter.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 392°F. Line the baking tray with foil and grease it with butter. Pour the batter into it and bake for 20–30 minutes until the cake turns brown. Let it cool, then it will be easy to detach from the foil.

Step 5

Melt the chocolate. Cut the cake into 10 rectangles. Drizzle each with glaze and decorate with whole almonds.
