Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 13.2 oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Large eggs - 3 pieces
- Vanilla salt - 2 teaspoons
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Ground Almonds - 4.4 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Jam - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour, mix it with the baking powder and ground almonds.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with sugar, add the flour mixture and vanilla sugar, and mix well.
Step 3
Cut the cold butter into small pieces and mix it with the flour mixture.
Step 4
Knead the dough by hand until smooth. Form it into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 6
Roll out the chilled dough to a thickness of no more than 4 mm and cut out circles with a diameter of 3–4 cm. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the dough circles on it.
Step 7
Place the baking sheet in the oven for 10–12 minutes, then use a wide knife to remove the baked circles and let them cool. Spread jam on half of the circles and cover them with the remaining circles.
Step 8
You can also glaze them. For this, mix powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then glaze the cooled cookies; otherwise, the cookies will absorb the glaze.
