Almond Puff Pastry Cake
Ingredients
- Butter - 6.2 oz
- Puff Pastry - 14.1 oz
- Egg white - 2 pieces
- Whole egg - 2 pieces
- Powdered Sugar - 6.3 oz
- Chopped almonds - 7.9 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the egg and separately beat the butter with the sugar. Then mix them together.
Step 2
Add the ground almonds and flour. Whisk the mixture well.
Step 3
Roll out the pastry with a rolling pin and cut out a large circle.
Step 4
Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and place the pastry on it. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg yolk.
Step 5
Top with the nut mixture.
Step 6
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 428°F, then reduce the temperature to 180 and bake until done.
Step 7
Dust the finished cake with powdered sugar.
