Anise, Almond, and Hazelnut Biscotti
Ingredients
- Star anise - 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Chopped almonds - 9.9 oz
- Hazelnut - 7.4 oz
- Anise Vodka - 2 fl oz
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 5 pieces
- Sugar - 11.1 oz
- Vanilla extract - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F. Grease a baking sheet with butter and dust with flour.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and blanched roasted nuts. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with the anise liqueur, ground anise, and vanilla extract. Combine both mixtures and knead the dough. It should be soft.
Step 3
Pour the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake until golden brown for about twenty minutes. Let cool.
Step 4
Cut the dough crosswise into twenty strips, each 10 cm long. Cut each strip in half lengthwise. Transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake until golden brown at 320°F. Serve cooled.
