Ingredients
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Dates - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 7.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.9 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Brown Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- Coconut flakes - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Peel the apples and remove the seeds. Remove the pits from the dates. Chop the apples and dates, mix them, add baking soda and 250 ml of hot water, cover and let sit for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Beat 125 g of softened butter with sugar and the egg. Add vanilla. Combine the butter mixture with the fruit mixture, stir, and pour into a baking dish lined with parchment paper and greased with butter.
Step 4
Bake for 50 minutes.
Step 5
Combine the remaining butter with brown sugar and milk. Add coconut flakes and cook until smooth. Spread over the crust and bake for another 20 minutes.
