Apple and Honey Strudel

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
  • Butter - 2.5 oz
  • Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
  • Sugar - 4 spoons
  • Breadcrumbs - ½ glasses
  • Apple - 17.6 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon - ½ spoons
  • Honey - 2 spoons
  • Salt - ½ spoons
  • Powdered Sugar - 1 tablespoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Whisk together 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add 1/4 cup of water and mix until the salt and sugar are dissolved.

Step 2

Sift the flour and pile it on the table, creating a well in the center. Place 50 g of softened butter into the well, add the egg mixture with water, and knead into a stiff dough. Let the dough rest.

Step 3

Roll out the dough into a thin rectangular sheet, brush it with butter, lay thinly sliced apples along one edge, and sprinkle with sugar mixed with ground cinnamon and breadcrumbs.

Step 4

Roll the dough with the filling into a log shape, place it seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush the surface of the log with the remaining egg and bake for 25-30 minutes at 392°F.

Step 5

Make several holes in the finished roll and pour in melted honey. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, slice, and serve hot.
