Ingredients
- Sugar - 17.6 oz
- Apple - 2 lbs
- Walnuts - 3.5 oz
- Candied fruits - 3.5 oz
- Dried ground orange peel - 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the walnuts and lightly roast them in a pan. Chop into small pieces.
Step 2
Finely chop the candied fruits.
Step 3
Rinse the apples, peel them, and remove the cores. Grate them on a fine grater. Place the mixture over low heat and cook until it becomes a thick puree, stirring to prevent burning.
Step 4
Remove the puree from heat, add the walnuts and candied fruits, and stir in the grated orange peel.
Step 5
With wet fingers, form small balls and leave them on a cutting board for a while to dry.
Step 6
Then roll the formed balls in powdered sugar. Place them in a jar and cover with parchment or plastic wrap.
