Apple Frittata with Cheddar

Ingredients

  • Large eggs - 8 pieces
  • Egg white - 2 pieces
  • Coarse Salt - to taste
  • White Cheddar Cheese - 4.2 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Apple - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Grate the cheese using a coarse grater. Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly.

Step 3

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the egg whites and add half of the grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4

In an oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook for 1–2 minutes without stirring.

Step 5

Arrange the apple slices on top of the eggs and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Step 6

Transfer the frittata to the oven for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.

Step 7

Let it sit for 5 minutes and cut into segments.
