Apple Gratin with Oatmeal
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - ¾ glasses
- Brown Sugar - ¼ glasses
- Salt - ½ spoons
- Fine white sugar - 0,6 glasses
- Butter - 8 teaspoons
- Oat flakes - 1 glass
- Apple - 1½ kg
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 spoons
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of white sugar. Then add the diced butter and mix until the mixture resembles crumbs. Stir in the oats using your hands. Place in the freezer while you prepare the apples.
Step 3
In another bowl, combine the peeled and cored apples, finely chopped, with lemon juice, cinnamon, and the remaining white sugar. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle with the flour mixture.
Step 4
Bake until golden brown for 55–60 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
