Ingredients
- Antonovka apples - 2 lbs
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 4 teaspoons
- Nutmeg - 2 teaspoons
- Lemon Juice - to taste
- Mint - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the apples into wedges. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and ground nutmeg, and mix. (If you let the mixture sit for a while, the apples will release more juice.)
Step 2
Transfer to an enameled baking tray with sides at least 4–5 cm high. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 482°F and wait for it to boil.
Step 3
Pour in the lemon juice and add mint to taste to the boiling jam and keep it in the oven for another 5 minutes. Transfer to prepared jars.
