Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 10.6 oz
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Potato protein - 0.4 oz
- Orange zest - 0.7 oz
- Lemon Balm - to taste
- Cinnamon - to taste
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the pastry and roll it out.
Step 2
Cut off a third or a quarter and set it aside for the lattice. Alternatively, use a second sheet of pastry for this purpose (and bake something else with the leftovers).
Step 3
Lightly dust the rolled-out pastry with starch.
Step 4
Spread finely chopped or grated, dry or fresh orange zest over the surface of the pastry. Just a little! For flavor. Don't overdo it.
Step 5
Cut the apples, remove the core, slice them thinly, and arrange them in a single layer on the pastry (overlapping the slices).
Step 6
Sprinkle with vanilla sugar and cinnamon to taste.
Step 7
Add a few leaves of fresh lemon balm.
Step 8
Form a lattice on top and brush it with egg white.
Step 9
Bake in the oven at 200–410°F until the pastry is golden brown.
Step 10
Remove from the oven and lightly dust with powdered sugar.
