Description

You can simply buy ready-made puff pastry without yeast. You can choose not to add condensed milk to the apples, but instead alternate layers of apples with layers of condensed milk.

Ingredients

  • Green Apples - 6 lbs
  • Sugar - 17.6 oz
  • Condensed Milk - 1 can
  • Wheat Flour - 21.2 oz
  • Butter - 17.6 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
  • Water - 3 fl oz
  • Rum - 1 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Dough: Mix butter and flour until a homogeneous mass is obtained. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs with water and add rum, then add to the flour mixture and mix again. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 40 minutes.

Step 2

Divide the dough into 5 parts, roll out thinly, prick with a fork, and bake in the oven at 410°F on parchment paper for 8 minutes for each layer. Let cool.

Step 3

Filling: Peel and slice the apples into rings. Sauté on low heat with sugar until pectin is released (the apples will release juice and the mixture will turn into a jam-like consistency). Add condensed milk and stir, keeping on low heat for another 5 minutes.

Step 4

Layer on a plate, alternating layers of dough with apple filling, finishing with apples, and crumble the fifth layer over the apples.

Step 5

Refrigerate to soak for a couple of hours, if you have the patience.
