Ingredients
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Peaches - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Cardamom - ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger - ¼ teaspoon
- Coarse Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Cider - 4 fl oz
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Combine the apples, peaches, sugar, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and salt in a medium bowl. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the fruit mixture to the skillet and sauté, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized for about 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 2
Pour the cider into the skillet, reduce the heat, and bring to a simmer. Cook until the fruits are tender and a syrup forms, about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding water if the liquid evaporates too much. Allow to cool slightly, then stir in the lemon juice.
Step 3
Can be prepared in advance: the dessert can be made up to 3 days before serving. Cool, cover, and store in the refrigerator. Reheat slightly if necessary before serving.
