Apple-Pear Pie
Ingredients
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 4 tablespoons
- Salt - a pinch
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Brown Sugar - 0 oz
- Apple - 3 pieces
- Pears - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 6 tablespoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice - to taste
- Ground Cinnamon - to taste
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the yeast into warm (not hot!) milk, add a teaspoon of sugar, and let it sit for 10–12 minutes.
Step 2
To the yeast mixture with milk and sugar, add a pinch of salt and 4 tablespoons of olive oil, mix, and immediately add the flour. Knead a fluffy dough and cover it with a towel, leaving it in a warm place while preparing the filling.
Step 3
Wash the apples and pears, dry them, remove the seeds, and slice them thinly.
Step 4
Line a baking dish with parchment paper, lightly greased with olive oil.
Step 5
Roll out the dough into a thin layer and place it in the lined baking dish.
Step 6
Arrange the pear slices in a fan shape as the bottom layer on the dough, then layer the apple slices on top. Sprinkle the apples with sugar and, if desired, add ground cinnamon to taste. Drizzle with the juice of one small lemon (to taste).
Step 7
Bake at 356°F for 35–40 minutes (depending on the characteristics of the oven).
