Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
  • Apple - 3 pieces
  • Cinnamon - 0.2 oz
  • Whole egg - 1 piece
  • Margarine - 0.2 oz
  • Apricot Jam - 0.4 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Grease the baking dish with margarine.

Step 2

Lay a layer of pastry in the dish, forming the edges of the future pie.

Step 3

Spread the pastry with apricot jam.

Step 4

Peel and dice the apples. Place the apples in the center of the pie. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Step 5

Roll out thin strips from the remaining pastry (9 pieces) and attach each to the edge of the pie. Braid the "lid". Decorate with the remaining pastry as desired.

Step 6

Before placing in the oven, brush the pie with beaten egg yolk.

Step 7

Bake for 20 minutes at 428°F.

Step 8

After cooking is complete, brush the lid of the pie with the remaining apricot jam.
