Description
It is recommended to remove the pie from the pan and cut it when cold. You can also add chopped nuts to the filling.
Ingredients
- Apple - 2 pieces
- Butter - 7 oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Water - 3 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - a pinch
- Sugar Substitute - 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the sugar and stir until it starts to darken and melt. Then add water and continue stirring. Once all the sugar has melted, add the pre-heated cream, mix, and leave on low heat. Remove when the mixture thickens.
Step 2
Rub the butter with flour and salt by hand. Add water, baking powder, egg, and liquid sugar substitute. Knead the dough, divide it into two parts, and place it in the freezer.
Step 3
Peel the apples and remove the cores. Slice them, add lemon juice and cinnamon, and mix.
Step 4
Grease the bowl with butter, lightly sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking. Take half of the dough, roll it out to a thickness of 0.5–1 cm, and place it in the bowl, forming edges. Arrange the apples and pour the thick sugar syrup over them. Take the second half of the dough, roll it out, make cuts, and cover the pie on top. Press the edges with a fork. Brush with egg yolk.
Step 5
Set the 'baking' program for 80 minutes. Open periodically to release steam.
