Ingredients
- Sour Cream - 1½ cans
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Apple - 2 lbs
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
- Egg white - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cream the softened butter (130 g) with half a cup of sugar, add the sour cream (half a cup), flour, and baking soda (half a teaspoon).
Step 2
Knead a soft dough. Place it at the bottom of a greased springform pan, forming small edges.
Step 3
Peel and core about 1 kg of sweet and sour apples. Cut them into random pieces.
Step 4
Prepare the topping: combine 1–1.5 cups of sour cream with one egg, creamed with 0.5 cups of sugar. Add 2 tablespoons of flour. Stir to avoid lumps.
Step 5
Bake at 338°F for 40–45 minutes. Leave the finished pie in the oven until completely cool (!!!) so that the topping sets. It falls apart when hot or warm.
